Improving Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises through Information Technologies – based on Environmental Business Planning (SMITE)

The project was implemented in cooperation with the PPU Department of Planning and Development , which acted as the Project Technical Partners to the Palestinian Core Partner, The Palestine Academy for science and Technology . The overall objective of the project was the development of a unique Mediterranean information node for supporting SMEs in their environmental business, in the form of an interactive, multimedia and multilingual informational system on the Internet. The project aimed at supporting SMEs to improve their competitiveness by adopting prevailing environmental policies and practices, using newly developed IT technologies through the Internet.
