Program in Fields of Environment,
Culture and Education(2003-2004)

Was a continuation
of the project implemented in 2001-2002 in
cooperation with the UNDP/PAPP. The five
identified locations in the Hebron District were
again targeted by implementing two major tasks.
In the first task, schools at these locations
were approached and each school has nominated
two teachers for an extensive training program
done by experts from REERU and PPU. The program
was prepared in such a way to strengthen the
teachers' capacitates in issues related to
environmental education, teaching, awareness and
module buildings. Teachers trained have in turn
build environmental clubs in their schools and
implemented what they have learnt in the
education curriculum. The second tack was
performed by the students where each school has
designed and implemented an
"environmental projects".
The projects then
were competing in a ceremony
(visit Gallery).
The project
managed to build the environmental activists
among the schools students.

A steering committee was formed in which
REERU is
represented as the Palestinian focal point.
